Losing a parent especially suddenly is the most traumatic thing someone can experience. And how are you supposed to play a game shortly after that happens?

The Rangers' Martin St. Louis lost his mother, France on Thursday and he still took the ice against the Penguins that night.

He was playing with a heavy heart and his teammates were there for him in this tough time.

The Rangers would go on to win 5-1 over the Penguins to stave off elimination.

And you know they had that extra gear for Marty.
